Gina Panopoulou

I am an Assistant Professor at Chalmers University of Technology and part of the Division of Astronomy and Plasma Physics.

My research focuses on understanding the Physics of the Interstellar Medium, the nature of Galactic magnetism and the initial conditions of star formation.

I received my Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Crete, Greece, in 2017. My advisor was professor Kostas Tassis. I worked as a staff scientist at Caltech Astronomy with professor Tony Readhead from 2017 to 2019. I was a NASA Hubble Fellow, working in the group of professor Phil Hopkins from 2019 to 2022.

Siddharth Kumar

I am a first-year PhD student at Chalmers University of Technology. My thesis concerns the reconstruction of Galactic magnetic fields in 3D using stellar polarimetry.

I received my MSc and Bsc in Physics from the Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru, India, in 2022.

Karan Pal

I am a project assistant in the group conducting a 4-month internship. I am working on reducing stellar polarimetry data from the RoboPol polarimeter.

I received my MSc in Physics from Uppsala University in 2023.
